Huge stalagmites and stalagtites run from the ceiling to floor and vice versa, some even almost blocking the route. We wandered round by ourselves, but also took part in a guided boat tour along the underground river. The whole visit took about 2 hours not including queuing.

Photos were not permitted but we managed to sneak a few!
The past couple of days have really only consisted of a lot of driving to get into rural France in order to see the caves. On the fifth night we stayed in Villaines les Rochers; just past Tours, and last night we stayed in Alvignac after a 360km drive. Conveniently, Alvignac is only 10km away from the caves.
Currently we are on route to Teste-la-Buche so that we can visit the Dune de Pilat tomorrow afternoon. It's getting late though so we are currently trying to find a place to stay, before cooking a tasty chicken stir fry for dinner and then finally getting some rest.
Missing everybody a lot, but there have been no tears as of yet. Megan, thank you for the Thorntons chocolate in the "for when you and Tom need a snack..." wrapper. You know me well girl!
So far, despite the somewhat testing nature of life on the road, I'm loving it. (Not loving not having a dishwasher though!)
