Day 87

I think I'm in love with Budapest. There is so much to do here an everything is so cheap! We are currently staying at Tom's friend's apartment right in the centre of Pest. (Buda is on one side of the river, Pest is on the other.) It is convieniently situated right next to an incredible bakery that makes spinach and ricotta pastries for less than a pound so I have been taking full advantage of this.

We arrived in Budapest 3 days ago, and spent the first two days just chilling out in the apartment. Yesterday though, me and Lilly went charity shopping. I got some amazing things and only spent £8 in total even though I had 2 bags full of stuff!

I think we are going to head to the thermal baths either today or tomorrow which I'm really excited for as they look amazing.

Before Hungary, we stayed in Prague for a couple of days. It was quite expensive to park the van at the campsite but the city itself was really interesting. Me and Tom only visited the old town as we were predominantly interested in the architecture of the old buildings.

Prague, like Budapest is separated by a river down the middle. The old town is on one side of Charles Bridge, and the new centre of the city is on the other.

We found the currency in Prague a little confusing as they still use their native currency of Czech koruna and not the euro. Hungary too does not use the euro, but the Forint is a lot easier to use when working out conversions than the koruna.

I'm really excited to explore some more of Budapest in the next couple of days and experience some more of their amazingly tasty and cheap food!
