Due to my lack of funds at the moment I've had to resort to browsing online and creating wishlists to satisfy myself. Polyvore is my favourite app to create wishlists, and this is my most recent!
Again, it's clear to see I'm loving a little bit of pink at the moment - no shame in that though. Topshop have just written a piece about their top fashion resolutions for the new year, and guess what? They said to never be scared of pink. I knew my fave pastel colour would make a breakthrough this A/W.
Also featured on my wishlist is a fluffy black coat by Diane Von Furstenberg. Though a little out of budget for most of us, I always really enjoy finding high street or vintage alternatives of my favourite designer goods. For example, for christmas I chose a vintage fur coat for myself. I bought it from a local vintage market stall in Norwich, and as I know the owner, he let me have it for a mere £17 reduced from £40. I was over the moon. It is a slightly longer style than the DVF coat, but I prefer this, as it has more of a casual look and can be thrown over a dress for a cold night out.
When I was younger I literally used to detest coats, and I did everything I could to avoid them. In my naïvety I was under the impression that coats would "ruin my outfit." This year I've definitely been converted though, and I'm really enjoying the large oversized coat trend currently. The other day I found a gem of a trench coat for £8.50 in a charity shop. A timeless staple for any wardrobe.
I think even when it's summer I'll continue to buy more coats than I'll ever need. At the moment I'm lusting over long "duvet coats" paired with lots of layers and a pointed pair of black boots.
I love your blog ! And I also love pastel colours :)
